20 months

Hard to believe in 4 months we will be celebrating Willow's second birthday. It has been so much fun to watch her develop into her own person. Absorbing what she sees around her and deciding what she wants to do or say. Carl is, of course, a big influence. But even in her looking up to him she is select about how she wants to be and when. Yes, I am talking stubborn here.

I didn't think of taking the monthly photo's with Carl (but we certainly do have a lot of them) so it is always nice when he wants to sit in on the pictures. It is often a glimpse into what life feels like in the Bullen household and I think the below two photo's definitely share that!

And then there is the pure joy they find in Ramona's visits. Willow just adores her. Mona look, Mona look. And she wants to give her kisses and hugs (well, in some cases the hugs resemble a full nelson hold but it definitely comes from love.)
And Carl, well, it is sweet to see him be so loving as well as protective of her. On this particular day he found all the small toys and put them away for fear of Ramona putting them in her mouth. Today he said to Carolyn (something like), "Remember everything she gets she puts in her mouth." I can't wait to see how these relationships grow.
