Fun filled day
I never thought watching an excavator or bulldozer could be that fun... but today Carl, Willow and I spent at last 45 minutes watching these vehicles moving and digging up the road. We walked over, found a nice step seat in front of Kate and Linda's and just sat there. The excitement on Carl's face was heartwarming. Especially when people, particularly a worker, came by. One offered him a ride but he just stared. It really was fun... except for the loudness and smell of course!
And then there is Willow, she slept through the entire time. Funny, for now, they are like night and day.
This is the dress Cali wore to our wedding - when she was 7 months old!

Wish I could have watched with you all -- I think big equipment is really neat (even though I have concerns about what animals get displaced or hurt by them). Sounds like a much more fun way to spend the day than in all the meetings I raced through! :-)
That picture of Willow is so sweet! It's wild to think that's how big Cali was at your wedding, and that Willow fits in it so well at this point!
Love you guys!
It doesn't surprise me that Carl really enjoyed the big equipment. I keep telling Brian that Carl seems to be very mechanically inclined. He likes to see the way things work - much like his Uncle Robert did as a little boy. And the picture of Willow is just so adorable. She is such a little beauty and growing so fast. I swear she gets even more beautiful every single day. Can't wait to see you all! Love, Gramma
